Step 1Pick the thing you are still fighting with
Bring up one thing about yourself, your life, your past, or a situation that you still cannot fully accept. Do not pick every issue you have. Pick the one that is here right now. It may be something you did, something you did not become, something you wish were different, or something you keep beating yourself up about.
Step 2Feel where it lives in your body
Take a slow tour through your body. Where do you feel this? Your gut, chest, throat, heart, shoulders, lower abdomen, hands, or somewhere else? Do not analyse it to death. Notice whether it feels sharp, heavy, numb, hot, cold, tight, stuck, or like something else.
Step 3Give it a colour and a name
If this feeling had a colour, what would it be? If it had a shape, texture, or movement, what would that be? Give it the first honest name that comes up: rejection, shame, powerlessness, anger, fear, not enough, betrayal, or whatever is true for you. There is no right answer.
Step 4Bring it into the glass ball
Imagine a glass or crystal ball held a little above eye level. With a deep breath, pull the feeling up from where you feel it in your body and place it into the ball. Let it sit on your right side. Use your hands if that helps. Keep pulling the feeling into the ball until it feels outside of you rather than all through you.
Step 5Bring in the feeling you want instead
Now find the contrary feeling you want more of: relief, self-acceptance, strength, peace, warmth, confidence, love, or whatever is real for you. Give that feeling a colour and a name. Place it into the left side of the ball. You now have the difficult feeling on one side and the feeling you want more of on the other.
Step 6Separate the ice and the flame
Let the ball split into two halves. Let the difficult side in your right hand freeze into a sheet of ice. Let the good side in your left hand become a strong flame, heat, or light. Use the flame to melt the ice. Let it burn away, evaporate, or disappear in the way you can actually see it happen in your mind.
Step 7Turn the good feeling into your own sun
Let the flame become a small personal sun. Make its colour clearer, warmer, and brighter. Then breathe it in through your eyes, mouth, or nose, whichever feels natural. Let that light move through your chest, stomach, arms, hands, legs, and feet. Keep breathing and let the feeling you chose fill the places where the old charge had been loudest.
Step 8Come back and test it
Return to the original issue for a moment. Can you still bring up exactly the same charge? Maybe it is gone. Maybe it is softer. Maybe you can see the issue more clearly. Notice what is true instead of forcing an answer. The more you practise, the more familiar the sequence can become.
One practical rule: do not use The KUGEL™ while driving or during anything that needs your full attention.
