A goal can be useful and still leave you empty. You can reach the number, the job title, the relationship milestone, or the physical target and discover that most of your energy came from fear, comparison, or the need to prove something.

Feel Different uses an Overarching Vision to name a broader direction. It is connected to the life you want to create, the feelings you want to live from, the contribution you want to make, and the parts of yourself that need room to develop.

A vision is not another demand

The PIC can turn any goal into a weapon. It says the vision must be perfect, large enough, impressive enough, and complete immediately. The Dream Card is meant to do the opposite. It gives you a place to name possible directions without making every line a verdict on whether you are good enough.

The manuscript uses five life areas as a way to look widely: health, career, relationships, leisure, and spirituality. The value of the exercise is not in filling every box. It is in seeing whether your current life has been narrowed entirely around one pressure while other parts of you go hungry.

Let a direction pull you

An Overarching Vision becomes practical when it changes a next choice. If you say relationships matter, perhaps you practise one honest conversation. If contribution matters, perhaps you develop a skill or finish a piece of work. If leisure matters, perhaps you protect time that lets you return to yourself. A vision without action remains an idea; action without direction becomes another form of pressure.

“The purpose of a vision is not to make you perform for a future life. It is to give the life you are building a direction now.” Feel Different teaching, adapted from Modules 19 and 22
