Why your body can ignore what you know
Anxiety can feel like fear plus the pressure that says: you need to do something right now. Before a solo, presentation, audition, sale, or difficult conversation, the body can react as if the whole future has been compressed into one moment. Automatic thoughts give that fear a story.
